Asian Longhorned Beetle Multimedia CD-ROM

Introduction: The Asian Longhorned Beetle (ALB) is an invasive insect pest that has been found in New York, Illinois and New Jersey. Considerable efforts have been made by various agencies and experts to halt the spread of this potentially devastating pest. One of the best ways to prevent the spread of ALB is to educate horticultural experts and the public on the proper identification and reporting of ALB.

Purpose: This CD provides a combination of video, power point and digital slides on the Asian Longhorned Beetle. This CD allows instructors to choose the type of presentation that best suits their program needs.

Registration and Evaluation: It is very important that you contact us before or immediately after using the presentation to register with us at no cost. Simply email Bill Hlubik at Hlubik@aesop.rutgers.edu with your name, title and contact information. Once you have utilized the CD, we ask that you complete the instructor evaluation in file #6 and have your students complete the student evaluation in file #6 and email or fax back to us at 732-398-5276. This feedback allows us to continue to produce video enhanced educational slide programs and helps us to provide products that meet the needs of teachers and students.

Requirements: The files on this CD are compatible and have been tested on Windows 98, 2000 and XP. All video files are MPEG and can be played on most computer video software. Power Point is required to view the Slide Shows.

Drivers for Digital Projectors: When you are using this or any CD-Rom to display video from a computer to a projector, be sure to have all the latest drivers and updates for your computer and for the projector. This product has been tested on both Windows and Macintosh computers on a variety of projectors. The only issues that were encountered were caused by not having the proper video driver for the projector.
